Unhappy Blu-ray section getting blocked by more people...

On my way to work 1010WINS had a blurb how Blu-ray is being adopted at a faster pace in Germany than DVD 11 years ago. I presume the same is true here in America. This weekend I visited Walmart, Best Buy, and Circuit City. Naturally I went straight for the blu-ray section.

Each time, there were people standing in front of it, looking, and otherwise blocking my attempts to see the offerings. While the number of movies has increased, I either already have the movie, or don't care for what they have now.

But the point is, even though the size of the blu-ray section is bigger in each store, I could hardly get near it. Maybe being a Sunday afternoon had something to do with it. I was used to having the aisle to myself with only the occasional fellow looker.

The only movie they had which I wanted was 2001: A space Odyssey. It was $27.95 at BB. Amazon has it for $18.95. Looks like Amazon is getting my business. No people in my way either.
