Question Does this Blu ray Player even exist?

Hello everyone. I've always browsed the forums without an account back when I had my PS3 but never made one.

I am looking for a Blu Ray player that has a usb port/SD card slot, Streams video from netflix, has an Ethernet port (though I'm pretty sure that's become standard), has atleast one HDMI outlet (duh) and regular A/V out. And is able to play .avi files.

That last feature is what really gives me trouble. I've searched everywhere on the internet. Some Blu ray players have all those features except for reading .avi files via a usb drive.

My price range is $200-$300 although i wouldn't mind paying less. But I doubt it.

And the PS3 is out of the question. I'm still in the process of recovering from a video game addiction so it's going to be a while before I can own a console.

Thanks in advance!

Oh and sorry for any typos or grammar mistakes, I'm at work and I'm writing this in a rush.

Philips players are usually good about supporting AVI/Divx at least there DVD players are and they're usually fairly cheap. Walmart sells a couple of Philips players that are profile 2.0 compatible, however I haven't checked to see if they do AVI files. as far as streaming I am not sure if they support that. but for your other request it might work. I have several players personally instead of one big huge one to combine features I need. But I know everyone doesn't want to do this.

Try the Panny 85 because that is DIVX certified or the Denon 2010, but the Panny is in your price range.

I hope that help good luck!

ahh yes! i forgot about the panasonic 8x series, that's divx certified. I have a panny 601k in the living room. I don't use the Vieracast features hardly at all, and I don't use divx personally. I will look at bd live once and a while but hardly at all. Anyway reason i asked is since i don't use netflix or stream media, will the 2010 models offer me anything I don't already have? My current player is said to work with a wifi dongle if i choose, but don't need it as the router is right behind it so running a cable is simple. Thanks. Just thought I'd ask.

Look at the Samsung BD-P3600 (or others in that series). I've been happy with mine - streams and plays AVIs. Seems to have everything else you ask for - possible exception of regular A/V out.
