Default The Matrix region free or no?

Is The Ultimate Matrix Collection in the US going to be region free or should I wait for The Matrix Trilogy in the UK to come out? The Warner films I have are region free, is that always true of Warner?

Actually, never mind I just noticed the region thread mentions Warner is region free, so sorry someone can delete this thread if you want.

Why would anyone buy The Matrix Trilogy over here when they can import Ultimate from the US earlier though. Thanks anyway.

When did you pre-order to get that price? It's currently at £34.98

First preorders got in at that price, I also have it preordered at that price, but most likely will cancel, because I ordered now from WB store

The first day it went up for pre-order amazon and play both had it priced at £14.99 a few people from these forums managed to get our orders in before they changed it. we were expecting an e-mail saying it was a mistake but that was about 2 or 3 weeks ago and still havnt heard anything and the order still stands. fingers crossed they do honour it,not a bad price for 1 film never mind 3!

They'd be complete jerks if they did that. Does anyone here else think it wont be region free?

I think it will be region free because all warner releases are region free.

Well if its like the HD DVD set, the DVDs in the package may not be completely region free. They were Region 1,2,3,4 (but not 5, 6 or 8). So whilst the blu-ray will most likely be region free the two supplement DVDs may not be.

The Region 2 Matrix Trilogy boxset is simply the movies, no extras discs included.

Well DVD region coding can be ignored these days so tehnically it's less of a problem than codin on the Blu-rays, but it'd still be annoying. Someone needs to get on to warner about whether Ultimate Matrix Collection (Blu-rays and supplimentals) will be region free or not.

I think HumanMedia was refering to the US release. But yes, this is why I want the US release to be region free because I don't want to buy the inferior europeian verion just because they don't feel like releasing the same over here.

The DVDs in Warner's Blade Runner sets are not region coded, it'd be bad sport to code the Matrix ones.
