Default Questions about Amazon.com and Candian customers

I am pretty sick of the insanely unfair pricing that Amazon.ca has compared to Amazon.com so I would like to swap out and use the US site.

I have been told that the location that these items ship from is in Mississauga, Ontario even if ordering from the US site, so my question is, obviously, is this true? I ask because it would seem a little pointless to pay $4.99 shipping + a customs fee to get a Blu that would even out in price and I would get faster using Amazon.ca.

Thanks guys and gals.

The US version ships out from various locations. It really just depends on what you're getting. I've ordered shoes that ship from MD, movies that ship from Mississippi, and random stuff shipped from Alabama.

I live in Mississauga and order from Amazon.com all the time. I believe that upon order, your order is sent from a US Amazon distribution center to the Mississauga, Canada distribution center. The reason they do this is to save themselves some cash as well as yourself on duty. You'll also notice that the movies never have the annoying french print on the covers, which would seem to confirm this.
