Default The PS3 Experience

i'm going to be hooking up my ps3 for the first time via hdmi cable and was wondering, is there anything in the display options and audio options that i need to fix in order to get the optimal performance from my ps3 both visually and by audio. i know for sure that i need to set the display to hdmi and 1080p output. but anything else?

On the PS3, thats it unless you have a surround sound receiver or a difficult tv.

...well, just connecting hdmi to the TV you should make sure you have the PS3 set to Linear PCM. You will get Lossless audio, but only in stereo. Not sure what benefit you will gain through TV speakers?! but its better than nothing.

well sometime down the road i will plan on getting the Onkyo 605, but for now it will be tv speakers.
