Sorry, just messing with you.

If your asking if there is a reason to get into Blu-ray if you only have a 1080i TV, then yes. You will definitely see and hear* an improvement over DVD. I suggest you read over a few of the stickied threads in the Home Theater forums, particularly with regard to what connections you use.



*Provided you are set up with a good sound system.

720p or 1080i on bluray looks so much better than dvd.

i have a samsung 1080i hdtv and it blu ray looks amazing. It is definently a huge step up from standard dvd

Ditto that, my family has a 65" 1080i CRT TV in the family room and Blu-ray looks spectacular on the set. A huge step up from DVD and very similar to what I've seen on a 1080P set. So, go for it dude.
