Can someone tell me if this will run HDMI audio so I can get uncompressed audio from my PS3. Thanks in advance

What are we looking at? And i think you mean HD audio.. The PS3 can do it, all depends on what kind of receiver you have..

Yes, that receiver accepts PCM via HDMI.

Thanks...So that means since my PS3 decodes everything that I will get 7.1 of any audio right?

If it's actually a 7.1 signal, yes.

Yes, it will run HDMI audio as LPCM (which happens to be the format the PS3 puts our). Next......

Only if its encoded to 7.1 - all DTS-HD-MSTR AND TrueHD tracks are not 7.1 - most are 5.1 and the Sony doesn't matrix the HD codecs after the fact. So you will get 5.1 on 5.1 material and 7.1 on 7.1 material.

Thats what I thought...cool. Its a pretty good deal at $249 I thought but a little scepticle

And the Onkyo would be a MUCH better choice than the Sony, IMO.
