Star Trek 6-movie box coming in April (Germany) - Blu-ray Forum

Paramount is releasing the first six Star Trek films on Blu-ray discs to coincide with the theatrical release of the new Trek film directed by J.J. Abrams. The films starring the classic Captain Kirk crew have been remastered and are expected to be released in April in a 6-disc box set. Whereas the original DVDs were barebones, these Blu-rays will include "some" extras.

Excellent. I have all of the Star Trek movies on DVD, but I gave not seen them in a long time. Looking toward to the first six with the original crew.

The price will take care of itself, meaning you can always wait and eventually get it at the price you want. The important thing is that it is getting released.

I guess I got lucky, because I've got all the Trek films (aside from Star Trek 5 -- just can't do it). I don't think I ever paid more for them than $10.00 a head for any of them, and they're loaded to the brim with content. Very fine DVDs -- they really don't get their full due. They're among the best produced, come to think of it.

Both points are true. I couldn't agree more. It will be hard to not buy this when it first comes out, but patience is rewarded. I'm going to be patient with Matrix trilogy, bourne trilogy, and xmen trilogy. I couldn't wait on Quantum of Solace though. I needed a third movie to finish of my last 3 for 2 amazon price error sale. Originally, I had Resident Evil degeneration as my third blu in the order, but I replaced it with Pelican brief. When Quantum of solace came up for pre-order. I changed Pelican brief to Quantum of Solace.

like i said before...you always want everything to be under 15.....i guess your mighty proud about stealing from amazon.com because of their "price error sale"....

yeah, I agree he rants, but I do the same thing. I have over 350 blu's and my average is about 10-12 per disc ($15 for a new release), nothing wrong with being frugal.

good grief, All they have to do is cancel the orders that were made if that was the case. Amazon honored their price match errors with full knowledge. That is NOT stealing.

I have 4 and 6 on DVD, and both have lots of features.

I might get 4 and 6 on Blu, not sure though. How many times do I need to keep buying the same movies?

I have the movies on VHS and DVD. And I plan on keeping them. I will definately get them on BR.
