96khz/24bit systems and SONY HT-SS2000 - Blu-ray Forum

I was looking into buying the sony ht ss2000 because of it's pcm support of 96khz/24bit. I was also wondering how you all thought the sound quality was esp. when the volume is up loud. Also, how are the bass levels is it just boomy or can you make out specific tones?

Does anyone else know of any good pcm systems with 1080p support (hdmi verison 1.3c) that's under or around $400?
