I looked around for quite a while before I got my sub, the SVS 20-39 PC+. It was def the right choice for me since I use it primarily for home theater and gaming. It costed me $960 with shipping. If you really want to knock your socks off, the PC ultra is $1300 I think.

SVS does well with music, but if you only want it for music, then your tastes may lead you to a different manufacturer. I thought I recalled your other thread about a REL crapping out, especially at high output levels. High output is where SVS excels(even at deep frequencies), and it does so with very little distortion.

I have a Denon 3808ci receiver, Monitor Audio Radius speakers. I have a pretty large open room, the ceiling is around 19 feet high, and I have wood floors.

No wonder that REL crapped out.... it just couldn't keep up with the room! You're going to need something pretty substantial for a room that size. The hardwood floors don't help either.

WELL within your budget, and you can probably get it cheaper than this too....

http://www.amazon.com/MartinLogan-Ab...8569755&sr=1-2

very musical, 12" driver, plenty of power, goes low.....

I have a 14" def Tech reference series sub that would do wonders too, but 19' ceilings is a LOT of space to fill.....

You'll want to experiment with front vs. down firing subs too

Think of the extra $100 as shipping costs.

You have good recommendations above!

Contact some of these manufacturers with your room dimensions and characteristics and see what they come up with!

no hsu fans here?

the reviews on the mfw 15 speaker are awesome, but the CS is garbage..i pre ordered a single mfw 15 in may, with an eta of July.....1st week of august still no shipping date on it.....not only that...when the price jumped from 599, to 699...my order showed the higher price...although when i contacted they said they would honor the 599......still very annoying to check my order status and still see the higher price....i got 3 dates for shipping, which none came through.....i cancelled due to lack information....cs will respond to you...but they seem to know very little about when orders will be complete......When i cancelled, CS said that they would be available again on August 11th, just checked the website...and they are still out of stock lol

$120 bucks shipping is a bit much also

great sub if you want to get the run around for 3 months....

As stated above dual MFW's is a great set you get two subs so youll have more power and the bass will feel more warm and spacious with two subwoofers needless to say but fore of them would pwn hahaha

I would say take the dual MFW-15's

That doesn't mean a whole lot of anything....... And as far as subwoofers goes, I wouldn't say Klipsch is a brand I'd lean to...... and I'm not saying anything about Klipsch as a whole, as there are a lot of companies that make nice speakers (B&W, Tannoy, Monitor Audio, etc) that I wouldn't buy a subwoofer from

That sub also requires that you buy a matching amp separately and has a 18dB rise in output between 15Hz and 30Hz. I would not recommend this setup to anyone unless they are purely looking for something loud.

That's a 10-4 on that comment. The OP can do a lot better for the money. A Rel T1 is much too small - you would have to move up to the Rel B series or the Reference series if you want to stay with Rel (with that size room - even then I would recommend dual subs). Paradigm also makes a beefy Sub in the DSP series (the 3400 for your room). The SVS and other offerings are also good.

The deftech supercube I is right at 1200. I bought mine locally new from a dealer for 1059. Lots of output, not an ugly big box, and very clean sound to it. The above recommendations are good too!http://www.definitivetech.com/loudsp...rs.html#scubeI

EDIT: Just saw you had 19ft ceilings (missed that post), so my above recommendation, while it fits the price, I don't think it'll be enough output. I'd look at the Epics or the dual MFW's
