hello, i have the exploerer 8300HD from comcast (scientific atlana)
it has a usb port on the front , i have connected an external HDD to the box, and the drive light has come on so i know its recognized My question is, is it possible and if so how, to transfer my Dvr recordings to the HDD so i can put them on my pc for backup ? |

The only way to transfer them to a pc is by capturing it via the firewire port.
For your information, the recordings on the internal and external hard drives are in another file format not supported by a pc. You can't even switch the external drive between 2 8300... |
