Ok, here's a question...
Let's say you have the same movie in both formats. You put in the DVD and watch it, then you put in the Blu-ray and watch it. (repeat for every film you have ever seen in both formats). Which film is the improvement MOST impressive? Which is most improved by the transfer to Blu-Ray in your opinion? BTW this assumes you have watched the DVD up-converted on your blu-ray player. Anyone care to comment? Which difference most blew you away? |

I agree, and in that scenario I would say that I saw a huge difference when I watched The Mummy on standard and then watched the blu-ray version.

Mine is Harry Potter and the Order Of The Phoenix..My girlfriend has the DVD version and I thought it looked good but a little too blurry.. I liked the movie so I bought the Blu version and and was blown away..The PQ is great and the sound is also an impressive upgrade from the DVD

Life of Brian was definitely an improvement for me as well. Patton was also a huge improvement in the video department. I expect the Godfathers to be a huge improvement too. The biggest improvement in audio would have to be the PCM track on Gone in 60 Seconds. Just listening to Eleanor uncompressed made my heart fluster!
Also, if you thought Life of Brian was a good restore......you haven't seen anything. Just wait for the Bond Blu-rays. ![]() |

of coarse any of the older movies on dvd compared to the blu-ray are going to be the most significant difference........i thought the untouchables also had a dramatic increase in picture quality
