Question Do TV's with built-in DVD have a better picture?

Understand the question before you answer. I am NOT asking about upconversion players.

We all know how picture quality changes when you go from Coax to yellow composite, to S-video, to component. So how does built-in look (and sound) when it is using NONE of those cables? I imagine the hard wiring is as good as you can get.

Or does it all depend on how it is wired internally? Would this benefit blu-ray?
