In late 1996, I remember posting on Usenet a call for Pioneer to put out a digital hi-def laserdisc (rather than the analog HiVision).

I wasn't all that impressed with DVD being merely VGA-level resolution four years after I began using 1280x1024 (XGA) on my computer (1992).

It took 10 years for HDM to finally arrive.

That would be the case that they will use when they do the boxset for TV series.
