When does Amazon ship preorders for games? - Blu-ray Forum

Howdy, folks. I'm thinking about preordering some of the upcoming PS3 games through Amazon. Do they ship the disc on the release date, or do they ship beforehand so that it's delivered on the release date?

little bit of both. The last two i ordered Soul Calibur 4 and Madden came on the release date. Normally they send me an e-mail saying that it will be shipped early.

I was going to say something sarcastic, but honestly your not going to get it that early. Amazon just has pre-orders up earlier than anyone else.

Amazon is hit or miss with me. If the game is really popular I seem to get it same day it's released. If not...... maybe a week later.

You can get ur games on release day now guaranteed with Amazon.

Here's the catch .... if you have Amazon Prime ... its free.

If you dont, its $5 and some change ... something odd, like 5.69 or something.

ive picked the free shipping and sometimes still gotten it on release day. Depends on when they get the game in stock i guess.

I also just use Amazon's free shipping and usually get stuff 1-3 days after the release date. Normally not too long to wait since I normally don't watch/play new movies/games until the weekend anyway.
