Default LCD decision

I have my choice between the Sony KDL-52W4100
or the Sharp Aquos LC-52SE94U.

I believe the Sharp is 4ms panel. Is this Sony much dfferent from their XBR series? I will be using it for Blus and sports. I really like that Samsung 6 series LCD but I have to choose between the 2 I mentioned. How do they stack up to the Samsung? Thanks all.

I also forgot to mention the Panasonic TH-50PZ800U plasma but that unit is 2" smaller screen size.

Forget about the 2" in size difference. Of the TVs you've listed, this Panasonic is the best by far.

All 3 of those choices are good ones--- I have a similar SONY lcd that I
bought last May--- I am very happy with it, the colors and clarity are
stunning on blu-ray. I also think SONY is one of the most reliable TV's
out there.

im an lcd man myself, i LOVE the brightness from them. I was going for either a sony or a sharp when I bought my TV, and I couldn't get past how good the color processor is on the sony's, so I spent the extra and got the sony. I advise you to do the same, you won't be disappointed

I would say the plasma as well, but as far as those 2 lcd's I would say the Sharp 94 series. That is their equivalent of the sony xbr from sharp. The z series, although not in a 52 would be more comparable to the sharp than the w series

Below is the link to the TV I have. I got mines from Amazon earlier this year and it was a little more expensive, but still a good price. Now it's crazy cheap. Let me tell you, this TV is amazing. When company comes over they go crazy. I was watching Rambo last night on blu and it was crystal clear. I also don't experience burn in when playing video games. Read the reviews on Amazon.

Definitely go with the plasma.
Plasma always wins HDTV shoot-outs because it's the best display technology you can currently buy.

The only reason you might go with one of the other two would be if you're installing it in a family room or something that's very brightly lit and most viewing will be during the day.

But there was no doubt about it—plasma is king.

Deep blacks and a viewing angle that allows more than one viewer to watch are big sellers for me, which explains why I was drawn to both the Pioneer and the Panasonic. Go with either, and you'll be happy.
~John Higgins

I kept going back and forth between the two plasmas: Pioneer and Panasonic. I knew they both looked the most natural and pleasing to me, with excellent blacks as well. I couldn't decide which I preferred.
