Need help with a decision... - Blu-ray Forum

So my girlfriend is looking to get a tv. She loves my Sony XBR4 46 inch so muc. She offered to give me $1000 and I would probably get the new Samsung 6000 series LED set, also 46inch. Is that worth it, or is the LCD XBR a better set? Throw out your opinions to help me out with my decision. 46 Sony LCD XBR4 vs 46 Samsung LED 6000 series. Thanks guys!

the 6000 is slightly better. If it was me, I'd just keep the tv you have right now.

If you were upgrading in size (to a 55 inch) I'd say do it.

I have the same XBR TV as well. I have seen Samsung looking slightly better but has a lot of glare to it just like a plasma. Id say keep the same TV. Believe it or not when I was an installer for Circuit City Firedog we brought down more Samsungs than any other brands due to faulty issues. I love my 46" XBR4 since the day I brought it home that my wife got me a 32" XBR9 last week for our bedroom as well. GO SONY XBR! It is all up to you what you decide here though. Good luck!
