Default Executive Decision?

Does anybody else want this on blu? It's a pretty good action flick. Plus, Steven Segal dies in it.

I was just thinking about this movie and how it would be great to see it on Blu. I don't think a lot of people knows about this movie. It's definitely a underrated movie.

To me, this is a generic version of a Tom Clancy movie. I have never been a fan of K.Russel. However, my favorite part of the movie is when Seagal dies. That dude is terrible.

I might get "Executive Decision" because I've liked Kurt Russell ever since "Big Trouble in Little China", but I grew up watching Steven Seagal's movies, and seeing him "die" in "Executive Decision" is a huge minus for me. So, I'm really at a crossroads between buying and not buying the movie.

This was surprisingly a very good movie. I'd buy it on Blu as long as it's a vast improvement over the terrible HD cable version that I watched the night.

As for Seagal dying, it was never confirmed. You just saw his body fly away but this is Steven Seagal we're talking about. IMO there are only two people that could survive that fall, Steven Seagal and Chuck Norris. End of story.

I hate to bump such an old thread, but I assume it's better than starting a new one!
This was rumored to be released end of 2011. I know it's not the biggest movie, but it's THE LAST DAMN SNAPCASE DVD IN MY COLLECTION AND I WANT IT OUT!!!!!

This was from Bill Hunt's 4/4/11 posting(post April fools, I thought of that):

"In news today, this one goes in The Rumor Mill category, but the French magazine Les Années Laser (issue 174) has just revealed information from their European studio sources about great catalog titles apparently coming to Blu-ray over the course of the rest of this year from Warner, Sony and Fox/MGM (thanks to Bits reader Matthieu P. for the information). It's reasonable to assume that most of these titles will becoming here in the States as well. Included are:

June - Wild Wild West and Maverick (from WHV)

July - Hair and New York, New York (from Fox/MGM)

August - Conan the Destroyer, Miller's Crossing, Raising Arizona (from Fox/MGM), Boyz 'n' the Hood, The Guns of Navarone, Jumanji and Suart Little 1 & 2 (from Sony)

September/October - The Specialist, Assassins, Executive Decision, Copycat, The Name of the Rose, Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, Space Jam and The Right Stuff (from WHV)

September - Bad Boys II and The Caine Mutiny (from Sony)

October - 9 1/2 Weeks and Chariots of Fire (from Fox/MGM)

November/December - A Streetcar Named Desire and Meet Me in St. Louis (from WHV)

We do believe these title are accurate, though keep in mind these are planned European dates only, and so they're subject to change as well as the differing release schedules here in the States. For example, we've heard from our sources that The Right Stuff MIGHT move into 2012. We CAN tell you for sure that Copycat and The Name of the Rose ARE coming."

I understand that this was a Europeon article, but so far it looks like the list has come out in the US too! With that I just wondering if anyone might have heard anything?
Maybe the Mods could create an Executive Decision page....as it is, technically, rumored.

Executive Decision will be a day one buy for me. I'm guessing this will initially be a retailer exclusive just like Maverick was a few weeks ago.

Another snapper case down with this release.

If you buy the Canadian version do the actors end every sentence with "eh"?

It's been noted in another thread that Executive Decision has been available at Best Buy since the end of July! I'm going to try and head to my BB, to confirm, if not tonight then definitely tomorrow.

Saw this at my local BB yesterday. $14.99.

However something caught my eye: a disclaimed near the MPAA rating box saying something to the effect of, "This R-rated version contains different material than the original R-rated version."

Anyone know what changes have been made to the film?

Yes, a few short scenes involving the head terrorist(Hagi Hassan) praying have been removed.
