Eliminate Similar Threads

There are more and more similar threads being made, like, what is the best Blu-Ray, What are you buying next (when there's already a pre-order watch thread). Mods should lock these similar threads when there's already 1 made and direct the similar threads to the originals.

I am really starting to warm to the idea of having a "Hot Topics" forum just to throw all these threads in. Today I believe there were 3 new Transformers topics started. That's even when there's a sticky about it right at the top of the page... I think a change might be needed here...

I am really starting to warm to the idea of people actually posting in the *** Master Threads that are stickied in the forums instead of creating the 100th
"Transformers on Blu-ray is coming out next week!!!!! and I just had to share that with everyone" thread in the last three days. The TDK release is gong to be a nightmare. I pity the mods.

Then another one posts: Create more forums!
And another one: Eliminate Similar threads!



If i had a projector for every time I've merged threads or moved to the wish list, when is this movie coming to blu, or movie discussion forums, I'd have a theater chain. In Seven Solar Systems.

I don't know, I think the Dagobah system would be very poor for a functioning movie theater - that constant overbearing humidity would be murder on electronics! Plus, from an architectural and structural standpoint, building on that swamp terrain is murder, I can't fathom how deep you'd have to dig to find bedrock for a solid foundation...and make sure it isn't built right over the Dark Side Cave - can't have patrons walking into the bathrooms only to be attacked by imaginary Dark Lords of the Sith!

...plus, I hear all those creatures only love nature flicks. How many times would you have to show "Anaconda 2"?!

not to add fuel to the fire here (i'm for the extra forum lol) but why not just start locking the threads instead of moving them. after awhile wouldn't people catch on? cause i gotta be honest, i, like many others i'm sure, skip right over the 32 sticky threads in every forum. so it'd be easy for me to repost something.

Well locked threads are like deleted threads, they become ghosts, the posts never to be heard of again as they drift away in the sea of tunes.

Btw I just moved 1400 posts

An informal poll taken reveals that 1 out of every 4 threads created on the Blu-ray Releases Forum ends up being merged with an existing thread about the same title, moved to Europe, the Wish list, or to Movie discusions..
