Default Question

I purchased the Sony KDL46w4100 television last week. The picture is absolutely amazing! However, I began noticing a lot of what others have experienced... the white sparkles coming and going. It didn't bother me too much, but I don't want to spend this much money on a TV and have to deal with some minor nuisance like that. I've always been a diehard Sony loyalist, but I hear the white sparkles have affected their entire new lineup. My question is, I'm thinking of exchanging for the Samsung SAMLN46A750. Is this a worthy trade, or will the picture quality not be as good or will it be even better? I'm on the fence about whether I should deal with the sparkles and ignore them in sake of a great picture, or if I should exchange for the Samsung. I'd like your opinions!

No way would I keep a TV that wasn't right. Trade it in for something else. Look at the Panny plasmas or the new Samsung 6 or 7 series. I own and love my Sony, but if this new line is junk then get rid of it while you can.

Yeah I'm thinking of going with the Samsung 750. I hear it's good.

I saw that in your OP, I think you would be happy with the 6 or 7.

A Firmware update has been released to solve the sparkle issue. It is now available from Sony tech support.
