Default Sirius radio

so after having it for a few weeks now

I am LOVING IT

but there are just two things i would change

1. I would like for it to have its own preview channel, and not the welcome preview channel interrupting through the Weather emergency channel

2. The commercials. %95 of the commercials i here are the same Male enhancement commercials/porn shop commercials etc. These really need to be just on the playboy channel. These are like the only commercials they play, and should be stuck with the playboy station.

Other than those 2 complaints, sirius radio is great

I had XM for about 2 years. I enjoyed it for a while, but it just wasn't in my budget anymore.

I mostly listened to the Classical, Jazz, soundtracks, and sports stations. Definitely a cool thing, as there are so many choices in stations...

Had Sirius for about 3 years. I still love it. Yeah, the commercials can get annoying on the talk stations but I just use them to flip through the other stations and listen to music. I love the Howard stations. Bubba is the MAN.

Ive had it for almost 3 years now and agree while the commercials can get annoying, I think some of the DJs and their constant talking is just as bad or worse..Usually during commercials On 100, I just switch the channel hoping to catch a good song.

Not sure what you mean on the "preview" channel though. From what I can remember I thought it was Sirius 1 that was played when you are not active (with constant drops).

Remember when other places start paying to be advertised you will hear them. The thing is is that the ads you hear are the ones that are willing to pay for it. Probably starting next year you will hear more "main stream" adds after the merger is "complete" and they have access to all of the subscribers.

Has Sirius always had commercials? I don't remember that. I thought that's why you paid for it . . .

Only on the talk stations. Music is commercial free. Even the talk stations don't have many.

Yup same here, have the added xm in my silverado and i maybe used xm 5% of my time while in my truck. The only benifet for sat radio is when traveling, other then that it is nowhere even close to the 15 a month they charge.

Imo anything over 5 bucks a month is way to much for what they offer. Not to mention the reception within the last year has gotten worse, i got sick of it cutting out every 5 seconds when close to mountains.

eh, i use it in my home mostly, payin about $50 every 3 months for two radios

i actually use it quite a bit, Big reason for getting it was for nascar audio

had that on the pc, and there volume settings were shit so you couldnt here anything most of the time, its much better on sirius, and the stand up comedy is great

I got Sirius for my wife almost 3 years ago. The receiver in her car broke and we found ourselves almost canceling. I got my wife the stiletto 100( i think)early this year and while portable is great, You pretty much HAVE to be outside to get a signal. I got her a home kit with the antenna and it works GREAT for her at work. She listens to over 30 hours a week at work and records alot of songs and I put them on the computer and burn to a CD. She also puts her meditation CD's on there and listens. I say over all, she uses over 50 hours of listening to music and her recorded stuff.

As for commercials, I do not hink we listend to stations with them cause I have never heard any.

Had XM in our new Honda( about a year ago) and I thought it was horrible. My roommate just bought a new Honda and XM seems to be better. Not as many commercials and mixes are better(BPM)

I have been with XM since 2002 and I enjoy it. Although, since I moved to Washington, the lack of signal in alot of areas bugs me. When I lived in Colorado, the only time I lost the signal was in a tunnel.

I'm curious to see what the new lineup will be now that the merger is over.
