The Punisher Question

I went to Best Buy not too long ago and saw two versions of The Punisher. One had a shiny spine and the other is a black one, is there a difference between the two???? I like how the black one looks more by the way.

I don't mean to shit on the OP's awesome thread about which cover looks better but I'm still a bit surprised when AQ/PQ supersedes story, acting, and direction.

how awesome did Nick Cage's horrific toupee in GHost Rider look in 1080p?

for example, Saawariya looks good but I couldn't watch more than 15 minutes of it and I've seen a ton of bollywood stuff so I knew what to expect

the 2nd cover looks much better IMO but I am hoping they will redo this one as the extended verson with a better video transfer when the new Punisher movie comes out.

I don't think there is a difference in the discs. Lionsgate changed the art design on all their blu's early in 2007. If you look at their titles all the early releases don't have the silver on them, while the more recent releases do. What this means is that the one in the silver case probably hasn't sat on the shelf for two years.

That's right no difference on the discs its just that Lionsgate standardised their packaging with the silver spine and gradually replaced all their discs with the new style.

Shame this character has not been done right in a movie and the forthcoming Punisher War Zone looks poor too

I heard this was a terrible Blu transfer so I will stick with my DVD.
