Question about Tower.com

After reading about the prices and shipping times Tower.com had for the Godfather set I jumped on and made my first purchase from them.

However, on the checkout screen when selecting shipping methods it said that with their free shipping the products ship within 12 hours.

Then after I clicked proceed it said the package will arrive in 8-15 business days! wtf?? If it ships in 12hrs how could it take up to 15 business days to get here?

Could someone who frequents tower.com shed some light on this for me? If it takes that long I'd like to cancel my order and just go to the store Tuesday....Thanks in advance!

That is a typical (or political ) comment about shipping....even at Amazon. To my experience, I get a package within 5 days from Tower.

In their defense you choose Free Shipping and ship in 12 hours != delivered in 12 hours.

Since it is free shipping it isn't the fastest shipping so it could take regualr first class mail shipping Unless they do media mail? UGH media mail is the worst.

But they may state that normally for all orders like such... I usually pay for priority shipping cause I am so impatient.

huh? I said that with their free, standard shipping, they said it would be shipped in 12 hours.

So, if it hits a mail truck within 12 hours, how in the hell would it take 8-15 business days after that?

Next question--has anyone cancelled an order from tower.com before? I think I might as well do that at this point.

I'm not waiting 2 weeks for something I can go out and buy on Tuesday.

I ordered from Tower.com too. I think I will be disappointed. I don't think they will ship until 12 hours AFTER the official release date (Tues Sep 23rd). So I think we are headed for disappoitment if one expects to get their shipment this weekend (sep 19-20)

no... they ship out at least a week before release date, the time it takes for the package to get to you is dependant on how much your paying and the company handling the shipping
