L.A. Confidential came today - Blu-ray Forum

In the midst of all these great releases this month, I received my copy of LA Confidential today. Was a bit surprised as it was from the WB Store and, they still have not shipped out my Speed Racer and Pushing Daisies Blu-Rays. Still excited as this is a great movie and one I've been looking forward to coming out for some time and this is the eariliest I've personally received a movie before release date. Though reported already, it also has the TrueHD 5.1 track.

I got L.A. Confidential today as well. I also got Speed Racer and Blow from them yesterday. I may have to start ordering all my catalogue Warner titles from them.

Can't wait for this one! Has the isolated Goldsmith score been transferred over from the DVD release?

Yes it was. Also, unbeknownst to me, it comes with a CD Sampler as well that has 6 songs on it.

Got mine today too from Warner. They're good for getting the discs to you on release day but I'll take a week early

Didn't watch the whole thing yet but from the scenes I watched, it looks great and the shootout at the end sounds awesome. I remembered hearing something about an LA Confidential tv show with Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Vincennes but don't remember if it made it to air. To my surprise the full 46 minute pilot episode is on here although it's not in hd but that's fine with me. Great disc overall, a fan of this film couldn't ask for more (besides hd bonus features)

I'm REALLY looking forward to this film. It's in my personal top 10, and it was one of the first DVD's I bought back in 2000.

I'm also interested in the Keifer Sutherland pilot, since it almost seems too hard to believe that for a brief moment he was Jack Vincennes. Now, both Spacey and Sutherland are phenomenal actors. Spacey really made Jack Vincennes his own in the film. And while we know Sutherland as mainly Jack Bauer, anyone whose seen DARK CITY knows that this guys has range. The fact that he can go from a sniveling Peter Lorre-type to a hardened, lethal badass is testament to his acting ability. But I can't for the life of me see him as this smooth operator whose more interested in the spotlight than law and order.

But who knows. Maybe in less than a week, I'll be blown away.

Thank goodness! The other one looked horrible!
I still would prefer the original artwork from the DVD, but this one looks pretty nice as well

Gotta order my copy now...

Yes the original dvd artwork is better looking but this one will do

I'm gonna pick this up very soon. One of my all time favorite films. And the pilot is good as well.

Eric "Brother of Julia" Roberts is Pierce Patchett, Kiefer is Jack Vincennes and Pruitt Taylor Vince (Identity, Touching Evil - USA version) is Sid Hudgeons.

Melissa George also stars as Lynn.

Really cool and I've had a copy of it for awhile. The movie is obviously better, but it's still cool.
