Disgaea 3 Review thread

Thursday I went to game stop and got a great deal.
I got Disgaea 3 for 40 bucks new on sale at my local E.B Games.

Story
The story for the main game is alright a little more childish than before.
As you follow a teenage demon the son of the overlord.Who vows revenge on his father for stepping on his Slaystation portable yes the Slaystation portable not an error. Causing him to lose 4 million hours of data.So that's just the plot nothing more on that.

PQ
Still 2D sprites, though they are really clean and defined in 1080p.The back rounds which are hand drawn are fantastic.Although there is some noticable edges and blur.

SQ
The soundtrack is not that dynamic nor has it vastly improved.
Some attacks have surround realism but thats all the DD track does for the surrounds.The music is well, it's Disgaea for you just some good ol' basic tunes, none the less they don't really get repetitive, you are focusing to much
to pay attention to them.

Replay Ability
I'm an arse for rating or even saying this.
Any one has played Disgaea know there is a sickness about this game per say for me a 700+hour sickness in the last one, do I need say more.Would I go back in a few years and play this over ''Heck ya''.

Rent or Buy
Hard core Strategy Rpg players this is for you buy it.
A newcomer might want to rent it and see if it suites there taste this game involves a lot of leveling. Lets say the level cap is lv 9999, and you reincarnate to level 1 with some stats from before.

Yep, a decent RPG at a amazing price. One thing though, I wish it was little longer with more side quests.

The plot is really a coming-of-age story about moving past the hatred that most teenagers feel.

He just presented the backstory.

To me I don't really care about the story as much as the gameplay. If you liked Final Fantasy Tactics, you'll like this game just as much if not more.

This game isnt really played for the story mode at all (for me anyway) but with all that said the story is still pretty good and in my opinion pretty funny! The voice over work is top quality!

Good game. Haven't had much time to play it (6th chapter + random item world ventures). Love the characters (Champloo and Almaz) 9/10

thats why they hired some anime voice actors to do the english dub so that it would be top quality voice acting
