Back of Samsung tv - Blu-ray Forum

I just got my new Samsung 40" and on the back of the tv is this plastic band, it looks like one of those big plastic ties, but it's taped on the back. What is this? and what is the cover-bottom piece of plastic used for? It came in the bag with the remote. Thanks.

the tie band is a cable organizer. you can put your cables into it and tighten it up so you can manage your cables

the plastic cover is for when you mount the tv on the wall. it covers the holes in the bottom of the tv where the tv stand goes

don't own a samsung but it sounds like it's for cable (cord) mangement.

I have the samsung LN46A650 and the little plastic cover is for covering the side plugs. thats what my plastic cover is for. I dont have a cover for the bottom. no tie ether.

when i had my 4066f there was a hole int eh bottom of the set where the included tv stand would slide into. that cover then covered that hole when the tv stand was removed. maybe samsung have changed things now though
