I think this game is going to do Quite well in all AREAS, but in Japan I have a gut feeling,

LBP will be the Sony's MARIO= IE: cha-ching$$$. I think its going to Have Very large Sales not just One year but multiple years.

I agree LBP will be big, but Mario? I understand what you are saying in that it is a system mascot and a reason for buying a system, and I agree, but LBP is no Mario.

Mario is a franchise unto himself.. I mean the Mario franchise has multiple system seller games.. for multiple systems.. and games that spawn every type.. something LBP or any other game franchise will probably never do.

Not sure how well they will do here at that price. $12 each is a little pricey for something that's only 3 inches tall.

the thing is MARIO stated out not as big from the start also, word of mouth is what made it big. the same with LBP it seems to me, since the game LBP is for the most part so family oriented it may have the very thing that made Mario what it is as a franchise now. it may take time thats with anything. but Too me in the game industry , this has been one of the games, that Majority of gamer's are excited about because of its apeal.

Word of Mouth is what's going to keep this game selling.
and as far as i can tell , its not slowing down, this games growth "as a very fun game"
thats a general concensus among MOST ALL of the GAMERS.

the games is not for everyone's style of play. but its the Concept of the LBP game that draw's many in.

those are the mini's that are $12

here's the real deal...

Little Big Planet - Large Knit Sackboy Plush - Price: $22.90 each.
The middle of the sales sheet shown above features two Sackboy plushes that are considerably larger than the aforementioned mascots. On the left is Normal Sackboy who's in a seated position and Pirate Sackboy (with a hook for a hand) wh sits on the right. Each Sackboy toy measures 25cm or 9.84" tall and is made of the same plushy brown material that the mascots are constructed of. Preorders will ship in early Dec 2008.

the full size Sackboy's are $22.00, they look exactly like the sackboy's from the game.
