Hell yeah, I'm all for the Cougs

, a new CBS sitcom (the network's only new comedy) that's set to take up residence at 8:30 Mondays. The scenario: Jenna plays a 30-something woman who gets drunk with her pals, sleeps with a young man she picks up in a bar and before long finds herself pregnant.

In promoting the show Wednesday afternoon at CBS's presentation to advertisers at Carnegie Hall in New York, CBS programming honcho Nina Tassler promised a comedy featuring "sexy cougars [and] slacker misfits"--the latter a reference to the shiftless roommates of Jenna's young baby daddy.

Accidentally on Purpose will remind you of Cougar Town, Courteney Cox's new cougar comedy coming to Fox next fall and announced this past Monday. The Cox character doesn't become pregnant, but she does salivate at the thought of romping in the hay with a handsome young thing she meets in a bar. (Where are these bars?!)

In Cougar Town, its Cox's next door neighbor, another cougar played by Christa Miller, who advises Cox to tear into her young man sexually in the manner of a predatory jungle cat. In Accidentally on Purpose, Jenna Elfman's character tells her randy pals the sex she had with her young man was "like eating candy." That was before she learned she was pregnant.

Is this a trend you want to see more of on TV?

...Oh, so THAT'S why they call them that!

Always thought it was because they usually those unnaturally high/surgery-sculpted facelift cheekbones, like real cougars have:

Well there was a terrifying plastic surgery reject of a woman on an episode of "Castle" a few weeks back who looked very much like a real gnarly cougar. But not in the fun way I have grown accustomed to bar cougars looking........

Makes sense with Christa Miller

. She looked way hotter before the plastic surgery. Compare the early seasons of Scrubs with the newer ones.

Yeah I hadn't seen scrubs for several years and always thought she looked good, but saw her in the last season of Scrubs and couldn't believe what she'd done to herself. Just what in the hell was she thinking, she doesn't even look good anymore, and quite scary now!

Best part is they even make fun of her on Scrubs, which was created by her husband

. He must have spent some nights on the couch or something.

But I agree she looks a bit scary. Same with Nicole Kidman, it looks like she now only has one expression left on her face

I'm 28 and I'm dying for a sexy cougar in the 35-45 range. I need to start hanging out in different spots. One thing I love about hot older women is they dont play games. They know what they want, and they'll tell you straight up. Whereas with these young chickenheads, you have to jump through hoops and play mental gymnastics just to get the panties off. Tricks are for kids.

I wonder what would happen if we had a show where, the guy is about 45 and the gals he likes is about 20...The women hate groups would be flipping out, calling him a pedophile..

I wish we had more shows where the women was in charge and the guys in her life are morons that screw everything up, that would be a fresh original idea..

Or how about a a group of ladies who live in the same neighborhood and cheat on their husbands...

You know if there was a man hate group about this they would be called sexist, if studio execs did shows based on the same but men as the leads, they would get hung by their gonads and beaten like pinatas
