I have a feeling it will, but who knows how much time it will take. I'd buy that set over again in BLU. the original was worth every penny.

This was released by Anchor Bay. And if you know anything about Anchor Bay, you know that they will re-release their cash-cows about 20 times during the course of a format's lifespan.

So yeah, the Ultimate Edition is probably coming eventually. The Blu-ray that's out now is pretty fantastic, though. For $13 on Amazon, you may want to pick it up. Great PQ, commentary and behind the scenes stuff. I use that for the feature (prefer it over the extended and European cuts), and I kept the box set for the extras (all of which I think are standard def, anyway.)

Anchor Bay loves re-releasing their most popular movies. It will most likely happen one day.

Thumbs down

It is a Rancor Bay release. If anything you should be asking yourself how many times will they milk fans with different releases.

They know they can get away with it because Horror fans are as bad as Star Wars fans and Trekkies.

I have double dipped on DVD for Re-Animator, Army of Darkness, Halloween 1, 4, 5, Hellraiser, Dawn of the Dead and Night of the Living Dead.

They need to release Night of the Demons.

I usually sell off my DVD copies when I buy the title on Blu, but I've kept my Dawn of the Dead Ultimate Edition. Mostly because I love the packaging on it, it's minimalist but sets a perfect mood. The extras are cool, too.
