I've had my 550 for a good year now. I've got a question.

On mine, the glow light will not go off by itself. (it never has from the beginning). I have to push the glow button to turn the light off. I have it programmed to go off automatically after 5 seconds.

My question is, Is this problem for my remote only or is this an across the board problem with everybody? I'm considering either calling Logitech or just buy a new one.

Once again, I do have it programmed to automatically turn off on 5 seconds.

i've had this remote for about 2 months now and love it. waiting for price on amazon to drop to $50 again so i can get another one for the bedroom. but to answer your question...no, i've never had this problem. i too have it set to go off after 5 seconds and it does exactly that...most of the time. on occassion, it seemed like it went out after only a couple seconds.

Cool. Thanks for the response. Looks like it's a problem on only my remote.

Never had that problem, in the 2-3 years I've owned it, only had one problem when I pushed the volume up, it kept going up on the receiver until max volume... I don't know what happened. It was a lower range Onkyo part of a HTIB. Do you have the latest firmware update on your remote?
