Hiya Guys,

I don't know about you but it seems Sony has got massively focussed on LBP right now. It seems that they're averse to announcing anything else before LBP is out for fear of losing some of the hype!

I'll be honest, I'm pretty excited for it, but I'm getting way way overloaded with all the articles! I'd like to hear about something new. Something to look forward to.

They figure most PS3 fans are already aware of franchises like Resistance, Motorstorm, and SOCOM so it makes sense to push a new franchise out with a media blitz to get more of the casual gamers on the PS3 bandwagon. The other games will get their worth of attention, but right now, LBP is the big one that Sony is gonna push the Christmas season for the PS3.

The LBP push has just barely begun.

Sackboy is going to be on every bit of Sony packaging for any product by Xmas if they have any marketing brains at all.

We'll be seeing LBP stuff all over popular tv shows (leno, today, good morning america, cnn, etc.). Once it's released the real media will begin unless Sony MAJORLY drops the ball. They have a once in a lifetime chance with this title... They better not hold back and screw it up.

Proteus: Agree 100% with your post. I was excited for the game until I played the demo for the first time yesterday. Now I'm absolutely confident it will be the best game I've played all year.

Sony needs to start with the advertising NOW. Yesterday actually. Let's see more commercials, how about some of the bus-stop ads I saw for GTA IV when In Chicago in April?

Something needs to happen.

This game will _define_ this gaming generation. There is no question to that. Sony NEEDS to spend the entire family fortune making sure no one in the entire world misses out on such an experience.

LBP will do for gaming now what Mario did for gaming back in the day. It will bring it VERY mainstream if Sony doesn't drop the ball. They stand to make many many billions of dollars because of this game if they don't fubar it.

Why take away from LBP just to promote another [insert seen it, done it title here]?

This is the title that has wider appeal than anything that's been released on the system to date and more than anything coming out that I've heard of.
