Default U.S. or U.K. Universal Monsters?

The U.K. box set is significantly cheaper, is there anything I'd be missing out on by getting the U.K. box of Universal Monsters instead of the U.S. release to play on my U.S. Panasonic?

From what I understand it is just the packaging that is different.

I very rarely preorder but the UK standard was a pretty easy decision and I've been very happy with it.

Some people here believe that their aesthetic sensibilities are molested by the sight of some ratings logos on the UK case/package

I hated the actual US case. If you worry about scratching your blu-rays then go with the UK set with actual disk holders!

The problem isnt that your discs will scratch, rather if youll have scratched discs upon receipt. If you get a set with no scratched discs, you'll be fine.

The (now OOP) UK coffin set has no logos on its exterior though.

I am one of those that you mentioned lol. But if its significantly cheaper or not available in the states, Then I deal with the logos. I hate when I buy movies that Canadian logos as well.

What Canadian logos ? Is there a beaver sticker somewhere on it that I'm not aware of or something ? There are no logos on the Canadian versions.

If I had to guess, I'd say he's referring to the bilingual covers you'll find from time to time up there.

Probably, but I don't count those as "logos" like the ones in the UK that are all over the case and discs.

no of course not, it's just the only thing I could think of that he may be referring to

+1 and the occasional maple leaf on the spine and back of the disc.

Yes you are correct, they are not technically logos. But they tend to take away from the cover nonetheless. At least to me they do.

The UK set is great. Also, anything and everything you could ever possibly want to know about any of the Universal Monsters sets is in this thread: https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=189868

Yeah, don't you hate the way Canadians ruin their Blu-rays with French and those giant maple leaf logos?

Look at the way they ruined the Marilyn Monroe movies.

Look, you can barely even read the words "THE SEVEN YEAR ITCH" because it has to share the cover with "SEPT ANS DE REFLEXION". I can hardly even tell what the title of the movie is supposed to be.

And that huge, obnoxious Maple Leaf on the rating logo practically screams, "Look at me, I'm Canadian". You'd think they could tone it down a bit.

I would DEFINITELY PAY MORE so that I wouldn't have to be offended by that stuff because I'm really smart and I like movies.
