Tekken 6 to be released on 360

I've known this for over a year but I'm surprised that so many are shocked. If FF13 goes multiplat......nothing from 3rd party is going to be exclusive unless it's paid for. Obviously Sony isn't going to buy this game as the previous one didn't even sell 2 million units (I believe).

If there was ever a game to buy exclusivity....this wouldn't have been the one. Now Kingdom Hearts 3......that's going to be a very intresting announcement.

It's not a rumor, they finally announced it.

I've talked with the sales reps from Namco over a year ago and even back then they basically said this game was coming to both PS3 and X360.

Anyone thinking this wasn't going to happen should have realized after FF13....anything and everything is possible.

It's up to Sony to prevent this from happening but as I've heard from other people close to Sony, they would rather concentrate on their games and not worry about 3rd party titles. MS on the other hand is concentrating more on buying exclusives, timed exclusives, or even multiplats on key 3rd party titles. Two different strategies, none of them can really be called cheating.

Yea that what i was thinking orge, sony could stop MS from taking exclusives but they just dont want to.

Yeah, but I always thought that it was the 3rd parties decision, not someone elses. Still, theres still the other PS3 TGS games to look forward to, hopefully MS and their "business practices" won't interfere.

At this point, Microsoft is shovelling money into any company who formerly had a Sony-exclusive title on the previous PS1 and PS2 platforms to get it on theirs. No one knows exactly how much is being spent, but in the end, Microsoft is all about the instant returns they will get off their investment and not the long-term situation. This isn't any different than how they played the OS and browser wars back in the days, so none of this is really surprising anymore. They figure they couldn't win the gaming community over to the Windows/Direct X combination because of the console gaming appeal so they figured they'd take the console gaming market for themselves. Sadly for them, Nintendo happened to come out with a casual gaming system that trumps the 360 in this current gen battle.

What's upsetting is that MS got all big name 3rd party PS3 exclusives save for MGS4, vsXIII, Disgaea 3, Valkyria Chronicles and Yakuza 3, and on top of that, when MS gets a former PS3 exclusive to go MP, it gets it day and date.

The major 360 3rd party exclusives are still exclusives (Gears 1 and 2, ME 1 and 2, NG2, SO4, AC6, Beatiful Katamari, Dead Rising, IU, Tales of Vesperia, etc...) and when Sony gets a former 360 exclusive to appear on the PS3 (Bioshock, Lost Planet, Oblivion, Eternal Sonata, Orange Box), it's often a year old port and sometimes vastly inferior to the original.

how is it cheating? and its in the 3rd party's best interest to release this way anyways. i say who cares, we all knew this day would come. and now we focus on who has the best 1st party

They also paid an absurd amount for ME trilogy, TH trilogy, Gears 1 and 2 and God knows how much they paid for XIII, SO4, IU, ToV, AC6.....however no 3rd party game is ever truly exclusive, those are all timed contracts, for example, the contract between Epic and MS concerning Gears of War might say that MS will publish both games, but MS will decide where those games will go and they'll get publisher's fee as well as royalty fees and the contract expires in 2010 or something like that, no contract is forever.

Considering the conference from Sony at TGS, I wouldn't be boasting 1st party, and SCEI is so ****ing stupid, they should release Singstar and Buzz there, even RockBand and GH is releasing in Japan and a karaoke game would sell better than that, and Asians are crazy about game shows, much like everyone else. Again Sony lets Nintendo beats them to the punch with Wii Music and MS will beat them to the punch with Lipz. Lipz will also rape Singstar in the US due to Sony's inability to market the game properly and to have a decent US Singstore. Scene It 2 is gonna rape Buzz as well because of name recognition and the fact that MS beat Sony to the market with this casual game even though Sony already had Buzz since 2003/4 but for some reason didn't bring it to the US till recently.

Everytime the ps3 loses exclusives, it decreases the value of the system each and everytime. If your main concern is gaming, then a 199 360 arcade will get you 95% of the PS3 library. Its insanely pathetic. Sony is flipping pathetic with its 1st party offerings at this point, where is the japanese titles that made the PS1/PS2 what it was? I am one of the biggest sony wh0res of all time, the PS1/PS2 gave us some of the best gaming generations we've ever had, but they seriously screwed up hardcore on the PS3.

I used to be of the faith that the PS3 would overtake the 360 worldwide somewhat quickly, i can hardly see that happening anymore. I understand its about profitability at this point, but they are losing any real reason to be a PS3 loyalist with each and every announcement from the scumbag microsoft press office. I played little big planet last night, and its great, but its just not enough. I would love for it to be the big comeback title tho.

You are just flat out wrong. Sony can not stop Microsoft. When it comes to money they just don't have as much.

The 360 has lost more exclusives than the PS3 has. Somehow it always seems to be a bigger deal to everybody when the PS3 loses one.

Star Ocean 4 and Tales of Vesperia are in no way guaranteed to be exclusive.

Gears and Mass Effect are already not exclusives.

Dead Rising is only half-exclusive.
