Need a littel help with 1909

Set up1909 last nite....Did audyssey...speakers are fine.....my issue is
Assigned hdmi1 to cable, hdmi2 to dvd, hdmi3 to ps3......I have to use the select source dial on the receiver to get it to the ps3....nothing on the remote will select it.....what are the "quick select" on the top of the remote for.
Dynamic volume, do I just hit the button on the remote for it to work. I did that, and nothing happened....(that the display shows anyway).
Did Iron Man 7:30 this morning to hear the lossless codec, and wow...what a difference from my yamaha 5150....
Everything works perfectly, when I turn the receiver off, I still get the tv to work with the regular remote, and tv sound, good for the wifey. Everything is HDMI.
