Default denon 1909 and dolby ditigal

When I have my receiver set to dvd, I don't have all the options for surround sound. If you have the manual, page 44, I don't have those options.

However, if I click the dvd button on my remote, then the screen goes blank for a second, I can select the options for about 10 seconds, then it goes back to the only selections I have. The selections I have are found on page 45 in the middle of the page.

Any idea on how I can set this to cinema and true dts mode / theatre option?

I am using a sony bdp s350. It appears for blue ray i can't select dolby digital, but for regular dvd's, I can.

I can not find where it says if it is bitstreem or not, I have DTS set for output, dolby digital set to dolby digitl.
