Question Speakers with Denon 1909 suggestions

Question:

When looking for speakers does one need to pay attention to the watts of the speakers? My old speakers are 60 watts, but I been looking at bookshelf speakers and the Klipsch I noticed are only 75 watts. The model number for them are: RB-51. Also does one need to pay attention to the sensitivity level? These are rated at 92 dB. My reciever handles 90watts per channel.

You want to listen to the speakers, and see what ones sound the best...... Ohms are important so they aren't damaged, but any "home theater" speaker will be fine... just don't look at computer speakers etc......

Don't worry about sensitivity and wattage.

Speakers I was looking at were from Crutchfield. So listening to them is not really an option for those. However, yes I wouldnt get computer speakers. I am not that much of a newbiee.. LOL... So speakers that are over 100 watts would that be an issue with my reciever only doing 90 watts? I wouldnt be cranking up the stereo so I doubt I would blow them.

Just working out the advanced features compared to what I had in the days. Took me a little while to setup the style.. Still working on it. I just got the Klipsch speakers. Much better compared to old school speakers.
