Default DTS-MA trailer: pretty sweet!!

I always enjoyed the dts trailers that you'd find on DVD but always wondered why i've never seen a DTS-MA or TRUEHD trailer on BD. Well on the TERMINATOR 2 BD, it has the dtsma trailer and it is pretty sweet. I love that it not only includes panning to show the accuracy of the moving sound, it also goes througout the frequency range showing the codec's flexibility.

I'm curious if there are other discs that include a dtsma or truehd trailer?

Yep, that was very cool. Sounded incredible. Had to stop the movie and restart the disc just to experience it again.

Many of the HK blu's include both the DTS-HDMA & Dolby TrueHD trailers.

The T2 'THX' trailer is also DTS-HD MA, and sampled at a frequency of 96kHz to boot! The DTS-HD MA trailer may be the same quality...didn't check.

curious, what do you mean "DTS-HD-MA trailer", is this a movie trailer that has been encoded to play in the HD audio codec or just the HD audio codec "swoosh" that some movies encoded in that HD audio codec show just before the movie starts?
I did get the star trek tv show season 1 on blu and it shows the "star trek movie" trailer with full DTS-HD-MA sound and that was a first for me and it sounded great; usually trailers are either in DD5.1 or DD 2.0

Transporter 3 has a five-second DTS-HD MA demo too right before the movie starts, I watched it at LEAST five times

Is the one on T2 different from the one on Transporter 3?

A lot of the new Lionsgate titles have the DTS trailer (96/24 7.1ch)... the yellowish-orange swoosh. I haven't seen any TrueHD trailers on retail BDs yet, but there is a Demo disc that has something similar to the DTS trailer. The TrueHD is also 96/24 w/ 7.1 ch.

I've seen and heard it too many times that I had to turn it down so my parents wouldn't wake up.

My reaction when it gets loud

J/W but the 5.1 THX trailer at the beginning of Indiana Jones IV makes my centre channel make a cracky/staticy sound for part of it(is it DD5.1 or TrueHD?). I'm assuming that's not supposed to happen. I didn't notice this problem with the same trailer on DVD(I have the first 3 movies on DVD boxset)

Anyone with the new T2 BD, is the DTS trailer the same one as the one on The Transporter 3... the Yellow/Orange Swoosh.

I noticed that also. I had never seen a full movie trailer ever have a lossless audio soundtrack before that Star Trek set. I wish all trailers had lossless sound.
