Disney has announced it is releasing Pretty Woman to Blu-ray on 2/10/09

Not that I'll be picking this one up, but can February 10th possibly be anymore overloaded and now Pretty Woman too, they need to space these releases out.

Amadeus: Director's Cut
Boondock Saints
Clerks II
Donnie Darko
History of Violence
Raging Bull

One of my favorite chick flicks. I am especially excited that this is a Disney release because this means it should have the top notch Blu-ray treatment.

Definitely going to pick up Pretty Woman, so that's 3 for me so far on 02/10.

i wonder will it be region free... this may seem quite sad.. but my wife knows the script of the film off by heart... she used to watch it over and over with her college friends when it came out...

Big question is will we get the Dir cut and the theatrical cut of the film? I like the theatrical cut more ... some of the extended scenes don't grab me as much. Would be nice to have both versions as an option finally.

I already have the 15th anniversary director's cut, I don't think I will upgrade to this. I like the movie

(guilty pleasure) but I don't think I would need to see it on BD

If they have to include only one version, I do hope it's the theatrical cut. I also prefer that one.

Although I've noticed seamless branching seems to be much more common with Blu-ray releases, so there's really no reason to not offer both cuts.

I think what you mean is i like the movie but im not about to at this time pay the price to own on a superior format.

there are certain movis I do love or like but I don't see the need to ever upgrade them to BD. I am sure many here might not agree. I would upgrade Star Wars, LOTR, Star Trek.....you see the type but I don't see upgrading romantic comedies (and I have a lot of these

I might if for some very bad luck my DVD copy stop working
