Reading reviews, I see many movies (Disney's Dinosaur, Die another day, , X-men the last stand, [the Reaping (not 5 PQ but certainly not 2.5)] ...) that don't get 5/5 for PQ and these movies look amazing, better than references like the Potc series.
Especially The Reaping, I saw of course the color banding in the red river but that's all and I watched it many times, I saw no "washed out", "color shift", "excessive grain" ... as Mr. Liebman puts it. Dinosaur has really stunned me, the natural scenery is really astounding and the characters (especially the Lemurians fur) is excellent. Die another day crushes any movie I've seen in detial, giving a screen depth like no other.
So now I'm doubting the "true HD" (I think I'll never get money to get one anyway but I saw some in shops - of course overuse of lighting to make the higher cost models stand out don't show a real nice image most of the times) brings something fantastic, as it seems the movies I see on my 32" Samsung (7000:1 contrat ratio) have less defects than the bigger true HD screens ...
Any other people with HD ready screens had the same experience?
