Default If you could change anything...

So here we are, with the year coming to an end shortly and a new one about the begin. We've all spent tons of money buying BD's, BD players, completing our HT setups and carefully hiding bills from our significant others.

If there was only one thing possible for you to change about your steup, what would it be? Would it be a new receiver, speakers, BD player, more BD purchases, upgrading cabling, adding SACD players, Turntables, etc.

What would be the one purchase you want to definately make in the next year?

Everything..

I'm planning on turning my 3rd bedroom into a designated home theater. It's going to take a few months but it's going to be a complete overhaul.

Only a few months? WOW! It took me over 2 years! You must obviously have a good idea of what you want.

I may finally upgrade my speakers next year, and possibly go to a 7.1 setup while I'm at it. First, though, will be an ISF calibration.

Of course, this is all dependent on the outcome of the election. Most likely I will be purchasing items for my other hobby before they are deemed "illegal".

I wish I had hung a 132" screen. I optimized my room for SD DVD and then blu-ray came along. Cheapest upgrade anyways!

I need to upgrade my entire sound system. I am probably going to get this:
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...-1018AH-K.Kuro

Now I just need to decide on speakers and a sub.

Next year may hold much for me in the ways of upgrading. I hope my wallet can keep up.

I'm in the midst of upgrading my speakers
I'm currently building a custom subwoofer for a dual subwoofer setup (Yes, I know I have an eD A2-300 and yes I know I'm insane)
I'm going to be upgrading my center channel
I'm going to upgrade my speaker wire for my fronts as well (I already bought and received 12 gauge Monoprice wire)
I'm contemplating upgrading my back surrounds
I'm thinking of going separates
I'm thinking of this now because DobyBlue said so
I'm thinking about a new TV
I'm thinking of a new entertainment center
I'm thinking of upgrading my OTA HD antenna and running an outdoor one(from Monoprice)
I've thought of a standalone Blu-ray player

Actually, I think that's about it. The only thing that would be the same are my surrounds.

Edit: Don't think I don't like my current set-up. It's just there could be some minor modifications to it eventually.

Projector. 100" screen. Turn my pool room into a dedicated HT.

But that's next year.

As for right now, what I would change?

Nothing - maybe my TV for a newer offering from Philips.

With HT your never finished, yea you might like what you have for awile, but soon enough you going to want to upgrade.
thats what happens when you make it your hobby, i love this HT stuff. HT is not a destination but a journey, your never done
with that said next year my plan is to get that pioneer in my sig, or maby the XBR8. its most likely going to be the pio, or i might just get both ( i hope i can)if i get my own place by then.

In 2008 I upgraded all speakers and dumped my Samsung BD-P1200 for the Philips player. I would like to get the 50" Kuro in 2009 but it may have to wait - depends on how much the price comes down. My current set-up looks and sounds great to me for the time being.
