Batman Forever (1995)

Sorry if this has been mentioned before but I have had Batman Forever since the anthology came out. I have yet to watch it so the other day I put it in for me and my kid to watch. I noticed that there appeared to be a lip sync issue. The audio was a few ms ahead of the video. This is the only blu-ray I have noticed it on. Is anyone having the same issues? How do I fix the problem?

Same thing happens when I watch TV but only on one channel - The CW.

I have a Yamaha 7.1 HD setup. I don't know the exact model but that I haven't had the system more than 3 years.

Sounds like a hardware issue.

I've watched this on Blu-ray a couple of times and have never noticed any lip sync issues.

What brand/model is your BD player and is the FW up-to-date?

Strange issue, I've never experienced it myself.

I'd disconnect the receiver and see if you still experience the issue

I am using a PS3 250 GB. Everything is up to date. So far it is only the one movie. Everything else works and sounds great.

Are all the Batman movies OOP now?? Amazon only has them available through third party, including the anthology.

I'd bet good money they will all be rereleased either just b4 TDKR hits Blu Ray or at the same time.

Warner Archive recently announced they are releasing the three hour TV cut of Superman: The Movie on Blu-ray.
I remember reading a while back (and it's on the Batman Forever wiki page) that the original cut of this film was darker and more similar to the Keaton/Burton films. If the three hour cut of Superman can be released, anyone think the original cut of this film could possibly see the light of day?

Batman Forever is a flawed film, but is one I may want to check out again at some point. I haven't seen it since it hit theaters back in in the 1990's. I remember strongly disliking the move, but may give it another chance. Sometimes when I re-watch a movie I disliked initially, I like it more the second time around.

Thought I read somewhere that this movie has really bad ADR. Can't say I ever really noticed any sync issues myself, but there are some glaring stuff they missed completely. "Tell me doctor, do you like the thurcith?"

I saw the cut you're referring to assembled from deleted scenes several years back (they called it the "Red Book version"), and it is a much better movie. I like the original opening where Two Face busts out of Arkham and has a much darker character (though TLJ is a riot and I don't mind him in the role). It also explained why Rene Auberjonois was credited as a featured role yet only had a cameo.

And Val Kilmer gets a bad rap but I though he did a pretty good job with what he was given.

Yeah my big crush on her at the time was because of Batman Forever. That scene with her under the sheet might be one of the hottest PG scenes ever for me. I remember how excited my best friend and I were when we found out about her Eyes Wide Shut scenes shortly after...

She's too tall for me in real life though, haha.

I'd loveeeeeee to see a director's cut of Batman Forever. I remember it being rumoured not long before the special edition DVD came out in 2005, but of course, it never happened.

Given the 3 hour cut of Superman I'm wondering if WAC will release the original cut of this film. I'd ask them but they can be hit or miss on their answers.

Anyone else wanna join and email/FB message/tweet WAC and see if this can become a reality?
