Problem w/ Goodfellas - Blu-ray Forum

I just opened up my Goodfellas last night popped it into the PS3, and every few minutes black bars would come up. It was kindof like what happens when you fast forward VHS while you watch it. Anyone else had similar problems like this? I'll be taking it back to Best Buy Tuesday to get a new one.

Sounds like a bad disc. I have Goodfellas and a PS3 and no problems so far.

that sucks man just take it back to w/e u got it happend to me with out of sight on dvd along time ago they will give you a brand new one .

Just an update I took back my movie and got another one, same problem, got another one (#3) First tested it in their BR player on display and it worked fine. Come home put it in the PS3 and same as the other 2.

All my other movies and games work fine. What could be causing this? Should I try to get a new PS3, call Sony?

Have you updated the firmware of your ps3? Sounds like a common issue people were having pre-update.

I've got 1.54, will be downloading 1.6 from school on Tuesday b/c I have dial-up at home. Hopefully that'll fix it but I doubt it.

Check the disc on other machines because Goodfellas plays fine on my (1.51) PS3

Since this is pretty clearly only affecting my PS3 (at least on this forum) should I contact Sony or maybe even exchange it.?
