seems to me, and i mean no disrespect to the moderating crew, but we need a dedicated hot deals/trading mod.

I've found that sending a PM to specific Mods that are online at the time gets a much better response than reporting posts.

Then the mod alert button should be removed. Whats the point of it if we have to PM someone?

Why not report it with the button and let it go? Why start yet another thread that has already been discussed previously?

The site has mods, we know they are here and they have lives outside the forum (shocker I know) and they will deal with it when they can/want.

So what if something "bad" or "wrong" sits there. It's their problem, not ours or yours.

I mean all this kindly. Just no need for continuing threads on the matter.

Good point. I always assumed that the reports went unaddressed because the Mod over the area was not online at the time. Can't expect all of them to be around 24/7, can we?

agreed, Its just him back to his normal self of complaining, as a matter of fact I believe he already started a similar thread months back before he boycotted this forum. This isnt cheapassgamer or slickdeals, just report it and it gets resolved, I havent had any issues as most things I report are resolved and if they are ignored I guess that person didnt violate any rules?!?!

I see things never change, It was quiet here while you were 're-evaluating your life' or whatever crisis that was then you show up and start bashing the mods saying they arent doing their jobs?. Look at your post history, It has been nothing but complaints and negative comments about the way the forum is run. If it makes me a 'troll' for commenting on a thread you started then I guess I am but being this is a forum, So be it.

The mods are doing a great job regardless of having a trade thread or not That has nothing to do with one another

Lol.

Yes, the mods are doing a fine job. Let them alone and things will be handled.

Do the mods a favor and let the thread die. No sense in responding to it. Just let it go.

I've been campaigning for Mod status for...a day. I mean, given my past (they always remember your past) - I won't get it, but - I feel like I could help.

we could all help, I volunteered awhile back in the trading/hot deals area awhile back. Im guessing theres not enough of an issue there, but theres no sense complaining as its not really broke

It seems to me you're getting all worked up for nothing: The "multiple threads for violations of the rules" seem to be nothing more than a few people forgeting to add their prices in their for sale threads, and in each instance, when you give them a less than tactful reminder, they always respond with "sorry, I'll fix it."
So what's the problem?

hate to bump a week dead thread, but....

reporting posts is great, but you're also publicly derailing these threads by your "i'm not a mod but i'm modding" posts. iirc, threadcrapping is against the rules here, too.

anyways, mods have real lives too, with families, jobs, school, and other priorities in life, compared to keeping order free of charge. sometimes you gotta cut it some slack, give it benefit of the doubt, PM a mod if you don't see any modding activity, and not tell them how to do their jobs publicly. it's pretty damn easy to judge people who are doing things out of kindness and responsibility and the idea of community, but it sure as hell ain't an easy job. my first modding role has given me a great respect for moderation on legit sites (minor sites with 50 users, not so much), with the non stop flurry that goes on, with perpetual trouble makers.

blu-ray mods, keep on keepin' on, dawgs.
