Thumbs down universal HD Crap

I've Just had a look @ the HD promotion hype on Universals site...

It seems by watching all their trailers and news... that they are just stating how many titles they have and will release... Then some old out of it guys went on to say, that if you ask consumers about added interactive features, they won't understand what your talking about, but show them and they will want it .... B*llocks...
They say Blu Ray is aimed @ Gamers and HD is for the Home Cinema market.
Also they say that blu ray players are around $1000 and HD $500 ( their website is as out of date as their product.

1. I'm more interested in Quality over quantity
2. who gives a crap about widgets... I wanna watch the movie not the stunt guy spoiling the movie saying its all wires and clever camera angles, who cares.

These Guys need a reality check, I like all Blu Owners, did the math and looked @ them both... We want the best and are happy to pay for it

I just can't wait until the end of this year when Blu-ray players are selling at much cheaper prices. What will their claims be then?

i dont want all those stupid interactive features i want a MOVIE.

if i wanted it to be interactive i would go buy a video game.

and i dont like special features anymore except for filmographies and deleted scenes. i dont like the making of movies because when you do see that how much of the movie was used with strings and wires it just ruins it. because when i watch the movie i keep thinking of hem on the strings thats why i never watch special features anymore.

i just want the MOVIE!!

Universal has Back to the Future - what a bummer! I'd be lying if I didn't say they have quite a few titles that I'd love to add to my HiDef collection. Oh well, life goes on.

Hello there,

I do not mind the extra features, but have to agree with you about the wires and strings ''it tends to leave an impression on the mind and so spoils the viewing.''

The whole point of watching films, especially animation / cgi / sci fi and the like is total escapism.

Really good points,

Genuine regards

Mark

Im not gonna lie...Universal has some amazing titles e.g. Scarface, King Kong, Casino, Breakfast club...however, it will only be a matter of time until they start making their titles available to blu-ray. They can not hold out forever. Financially it just doesn't make sense.
