Problems playing War, Inc.

So I just wanted to watch War, Inc. (a rental from Netflix).

The PS3 started to load it, showed that there is a BD movie in the drive, then when I clicked on it to start the playback it gave me some weird error message
"Cannot play disc. (Error -some number combination-)"

Got afraid that the drive died, because I heard of so many lately, that needed to be replaced.

I took out the disc and checked it. It looks like brand new. No scratches, no smudges, nothing. Put it back in. This time it loaded the movie.
Showed a preview of "The Contract". Once it reached the main menu when I wanted to click on "Start Movie", nothing happened. It just sits there. I tried to move up and down the menu, but nothing either.

Stopped the movie and quickly played something else to see if that would work. All other movies playing without any problems.

There has got to be a problem with the disc.
Anyone else experienced this with the same movie???
