Will beowulf be released in 3-d on blu-ray?

this is why I am holding off on buying beowulf on blu-ray cuz I heard a rumor that it may be released in 3-d next year.

Apperantly the 3-D they used to make the film means it's impossible.

But they are still releasing anaglyph 3-d versions of similarly released films. Plus, the players are rumored to have already been developed and just need to hit the market.

The only sort of 3D release that would happen anytime soon is an anaglyphic (red and cyan glasses) version.

I think it will be at least another year or two before full color 3D systems get introduced along with titles to support it. Perhaps if James Cameron's Avatar and Monsters Vs. Aliens are huge hits it might put more pressure on getting those systems developed. I just don't see anything like that happening before 2010.
