Gears of War 2 Question - Blu-ray Forum

Hey guys, do not criticize me because this is the "off-topic" discussion board. Anyhow, I was wondering how do you go about saving your progress on Gears of War 2? I got really ticked off earlier because I was about 2.5 hours into the game and had to turn it off and realized that the game did not automatically save my progress when I had turned it back on? I have looked for an option but do not see it anywhere? Thanks.

It should automatically save at every checkpoint....

Yeah it kind of pisses me off that you can only save a checkpoints. I got through the all the way to the drill site and saw the cinematic where they would start and had to elave so I turned it off. When I started again I was back at the beginning.

Dang it. I don't know what happened but I'm on Act 3 and I basically played through a large chunk of the game, turned it off. Came back and all of a sudden I'm way back from where I ended.

Oh well, AWESOME game none the less....

Yeah it's like it will bump you back only to checkpoints with specific title screens.

Ya exactly. When I went to continue my game rather than clicking on the normal screen to continue campaign or whatever. Now it's the act/checkpoint screen menu. AHHH!

The weird thing is that whenever you hit ANY checkpoint the Autosave kicks in. What's the point of that if you get knocked back so far?
