Isolating Musicians on Concert Videos - Blu-ray Forum

Are any of the concert videos using angles? or some other technique to isolate the musicians? I'm a drummer and I'd love to be able to watch the drummer and see what he's doing all the time as opposed to 1 shot every 30 seconds.

Perhaps pip (SD if neccessary) would work?

GIVE ME DRUMS!

I don't know of any but that's an excellent idea! Plenty of room for it on Blu! Who can we pass this along to?

The Corrs Concert linked to below is a DVD, but it does use angles. Very good show BTW, even though it is only a DVD.

John Mayer's Where the Light blu-ray concert has a bonus view option.. but only for one song. You can watch any band member throughout the song. I haven't checked it out yet, but it seems kinda neat.

QUEEN Live at Wembley has a bonus feature where you can watch the entire concert focused on any of the 4 members.

You would want to select the "Roger-Cam" ...but you knew that.

I know EXACTLY what you are saying man. I'm a guitar player and I could care less what anyone else is doing on stage.

I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE when they cut to the singer running around the moment a guitar solo starts.

I want 3 hours of THE CULT....LIVE with a camera strapped around Billy Duffy's waist!!!

i know Besides you in Time from Nine Inch Nails blu ray has multiple angles on several songs and the presentation audio and video wise was above and beyond on that release worth owning if you are a fan.
