Default 3D question

I recently purchased The Polar express in 3d. I really enjoyed it, now i want to check out journey to the center of the earth in 3d. Here is my problem, i do not want to purchase the movie and when i go to blockbuster to rent it the guy tells me in order for me to get the 3d glasses i HAVE to purchase the film becuase they do not supply them for rentals My question is can I use my 3d glasses that came with the polar express to view center of the earth? or are the 3d glasses made diffrently for each movie? Any information will be helpful..Thanks in advance!!

that's a good question I'd want to know also. Shouldn't the industry standardize this and sell glasses as a separate purchase?

I believe one of them uses red/green glasses and the other uses red/blue, so you would need different glasses for each movie.

Yes, I'm pretty sure Polar Express is Red/Blue and Journey is Magenta/Green - correct?
