PLAYSTATION 3 Remote Switch-off - Blu-ray Forum

Does anyone know how to turn of the PLay Station 3 by remote control using the blue ray remote. I can start it by remote and stop it. But I cannot find a button to turn the player off. I always have to turn it off by hand at the unit. Thanks:

hold down the ps3 button a screen will pop up with the options turn off system and some other stuff

Press and hold the PS button and you get a screen that says 'turn PS3 off' or 'turn controller off'. There's no specific 'off' button on the remote unfortunately.

Im actually thankful for that...

My cat helps me shoot by headbutting my controller, my favorite is when he helps me toss a grenade into a small room with me and several people and im like my cat did it..

If my cat could just headbut the controller and cause it to turn off that would be a very sad day.
